History

Pine Noel is named after my dad, Noel Bruns, and was run by my mom and dad for over 20 years. I am the 5th of 8 Bruns children, 7 of which are boys.  (I can't help but think that we contributed to my mom and dad's desire for a peaceful retreat and their ultimate escape to Wisconsin's north woods.)

Our folks were known as one of the areas hardest working resort owners.  They poured everything they had into making Pine Noel a wonderful place where families could come to enjoy each other in a beautiful, peaceful, and clean environment.  They spared no expense or effort in their pursuit of that goal and as a result, created one of northern Wisconsin's finest family resorts.  The grounds are meticulously maintained and the cabins modern, comfortable and spotless. 

In 2001, the resort was passed down to the Bruns children.  Today it is owned by a collection of brothers (Neil, Noel, Norbert and Nathan) and close family friends (Chris & Edna Dodge and Tom and Cathy Conrad).  This association of good friends and family is dedicated to keeping Pine Noel the wonderful vacation destination that Noel and Nona created.
